Hi,

Shower used to be great in that it had endless hot water and power. power's still ok but in the last month or too it is just warm and sometimes freezing however hot I put it. My hotwater taps are still boiling so why has my shower changed? photo attached is there some sort of thermostat in it etc? havent a clue when it comes to plumbing.

Thanks

That right hand knob comes off and the thermo cartridge is in there.Unless it's too close to that wall I would do it in situ rather than disturb the unions. They are on rubber or fibre washers so no PTFE tape required. Give the cartridge a damn good clean. Scotchbrite scourers are good, then lubricate the 'O'-rings with silicon grease. Shuld be OK then, but don't rule out problems elsewhere.

Well if you're going to have a deluge then at least doing it somewhere there's a bath underneath seems a good move!
