Hope Tech Lever Compatibility
Discussion
Hi,
I fitted some new hope tech x2 brakes yesterday but they clash with my shifters (XTR M952) so I can't get either in the corect position.
I've taken the gear indicators off the pods and put the brakes in board of the shifter but its still far from ideal.
Any suggestions on how to overcome this? I don't really want to spend £120 on a new set of shifters...
Thanks,

Thanks,
I have exactly the same set up. Had the XTR's already on, and when fitted the Tech brakes, the shifters caught on the body of the brake lever. I have the shifters inboard of the brakes, and adjusted so the shifters just clear the brake lever body. However it did take a bit of getting used to, and when others ride my bike, they do find it extremely awkward.

I suppose it depends on how you like to set your brakes up. I prefer my index finger to be quite near the far outside end of the brake lever, which means I can easily set up the shifters outboard of the brakes. I have X9 shifters, though, which I guess might not clash so badly eith the X2s?
I've got M970 XTR shifters and ended up with the brake clamps about 25mm inboard of the shifter clamps. Hope are apparently working on a combined clamp for the M970 XTRs (already available for Saint, SLX and XT). The adjustment on the levers means I can have them further in but still be comfortable to use.
