how to remove E36 ign barrel

Ok, I've removed the shrouds and the small grub screws but can't see how to take the black plastic ring off.

I also need to know how to access the pin hole to remove the tumbler as my key will not turn at all

I could talk you through an E39 but I'm pretty certain its not the same setup.

thanks MV, I see how to get the plastic ring off now.....and yes, it will be the same as the E39. The problem I have is that it says to rotate the key to position 1 then insert a paperclip to remove the barrel, my key is stuck at position 0

I can't get the link to work, broken the fking plastic end cap and ripped my thumb apart....c'mon guys
