Have had my Chim for 3 years, no noticeable problems with the Alarm. In its time I've had it sat out in the rain, no problems. Had it sat under a cover in the wind/rain, no problems. Its been sat under the cover for 2 weeks now (sacrilidge I know), no problem. Went out in it yesterday, came back and it now goes off every 15 minutes for no reason.

Cover was on, doors/windows closed but zero wind movement. Perfectly fine on Monday during wild gales/rain.

Any bright ideas?

it could be simply knackered. ours packed up in the "keep going off until the AA kill it" style... yours might just be failing in a different way? due to the location of the siren unit, they are prone to water ingress.......

i though the system went into immobiliser only mode after 3 or so unacknowleged false alarms?if so then it sounds like its knackered.

Is it a Meta system? Almost certainly a shagged siren then. Disconnect it for now and get a replacement.

Had my Meta siren replaced about 15 months ago, a few weeks back the alarm decides to go of for no reason!
Blipper didn't make any difference turning off the alarm although doors were locking and unlocking.

Went around the front to unplug the siren, touched the plug lead and the siren stopped no noise!

Got Fernies to check the plug connection and re-seal it last time I was up there.

So it could just be a "wet" dodgy alarm connection.

Hope this helps.

mine went off for 20 seconds for no reason about a week before it woke the neigbours at 6.30am and was eventually put down by the AA 45 mins later.....
