Hard wax is hard, soft wax is more like a cream, easier to apply but not so easy to judge the correct amount to use.
With wax, less is more, use sparingly. When using a microfibre to remove any residue of my LSP (Last Stage Product), I also have some QD to hand and spray each panel once and this usually helps remove any leftover areas that are hard to wipe off.
I prefer a hard wax, less wastage, but in the winter it needs to be warmed. A decent wax should go a long way each time you use it, so on't go mad and complete repaint the car, use sparingly!

Our hard waxes used to be rock hard but our now much softer. So the choice is really soft and firm rather than soft and hard. But as belleair says, spread them all thinly... you will see where they have gone when they haze over and turn matt, although it is trickier on white/silver. For those we sometimes recommend using our dark waxes as you can see the residue more easily. Two layers are also always better than one, gives more consistent coverage

We don't sell directly so it is difficult to arrange discounts... I'm just here to help. I was a mod on pistonheads years before the Dodo was born
All I can do is offer advice and create some honest and high performing products, in a market that has been full of all sorts of myths and oversell in the past. If you catch us at the Pistonheads/Autosport show in Jan we always do show offers and I'll look after you with a tasty deal

I understand the mod's and PH rules of not advertising so my reason for asking was to save me money and not get yourself in any trouble.
A shame we could not arrange a large (if there was enought intrest) a group buy. which I have been apart of on the biker banter with biking gear. As I said i'm looking at about £70-£150 of detailing stuff to treat myself to at this christmas
just a thought though
and many thanks for the help and guidance. much appreciated
Spend some time on www.detailingworld.co.uk and look on there for group buys and discount codes etc.
