My mum wants to get my dad one for Xmas. Will £100 get a good one or is there something else she should aspire to?

Seeing as it's taken me about 3 hours to see this forum existed I think the chances of using the search function effectively are zero!!

Many thanks

Was going to ask the same question as I want to get one for my folks for Christmas. Any out there for around £100 that have all of western Europe on there?

I've got a few of these, can't go down to 100 but would sell for 120. Full UK & European maps.
I've got an ad in the classifieds if you're interested.

I have done a lot of research into this as I have that much to spend.

Amazon have the Garmin 225W for £101.00 at the moment with FREE delivery. Failing that I think the Garmin 205W is a good product - £99.00 at Halfrauds t the moment.

In that price bracket? I'd say yes, tbh. The unit is less cumbersome, the screen is larger, the mapping is good (I have tom tom on my iphone and I am not too keen on the mapping, personally).
