I want to go.

Simple really.

I want to go there next year on holiday, and just wonder whos been?

What time of year is best to go (for weather and avoiding the crowds), where should I aim to go, what to see, any treks/excursions.

Oh, and who did you use to book it all, where did you stay? Any hints, tips, suggestions????

thanks in advance wink

thumbupIt's a spectacular place and the people we met were friendly although AFAIK crime's pretty bad.

We went independently (10 years ago now, so this is't the most up to date infobiggrin). We visited the Mochima National park and learnt to dive as I get bored on beachesbiggrin The diving was ok, but now I've done more I'd rate other places better.

The Angel Falls was gobsmacking, flying in over the Tepuis in a DC3 amongst the clouds was ace, and the Venezuelans know how to dress their cabin crew wink We camped by the rivier in Coroico and organised a dugout canoe trip up the river on our own, camped in the jungle with the boatman and guide and wandered up to the falls at first lightthumbup

And we saw what looked like an armed robbery being stopped in its tracks by the police in Caracas. I say "looked like" as we ran away at the first sign of guns being waved about, although SWMBO's first instinct was to reach for the camera.
