Looks like the Essex speed trap vigilantes could have ended up getting a sound bashing from the motoring public. I can't think why.

Another example of just how 'unsafe' speedcams are. These misguided fools have been whipped into a frenzy by Vicky Cann and her cronies singing the praises of cameras and how the are a panacea to accidents. These f**king partnerships are bloody irresponsible

Is it against the law to drive wearing a 'Blair' rubber mask yet?

Yes ...

... it is illegal to drive whilst blind ...

... blind to the state of the country and blind to the opinions of the people.

But if it truly is an accident blackspot surely we are in favour of speed limit reductions or engineering solutions to remove it.

If the accidents that made it a blackspot were caused by cars or bikes travelling in excess of the speed limit I fail to see how reducing the speed limit will help!

I like the "I doubt that many motorist will stop if there are 2 people there" comment. How do these tossers ever get voted in. I can see the headline now. Local village hardmen Big Fred and Big Ern got battered today by five foot three Billy the psychopath from Gorton Manchester while they were opperating a speed camera.

My apologies, it seems that the link had changed, I have edited my original post to the original story about new forward facing cameras and not the story you read. Sorry for the confusion.
