How hard is it to remove exhaust ends?
Discussion
Apologies if this sounds stupid, but I know nothing
...
When I bought my car the exhaust ends (Wortec cat back jobbie) were very grubby, and I just cannot get them clean - it's really hard to get at it enough to do a decent job, and I've tried many times with all kinds of different implements.
What I really need to do is take them off so I can have a proper go at it, so I wondered how easy is this? And bearing in mind I don't have ramps and jacking the car up on my drive isn't really an option (you'd understand if you saw my drive!), can it be done just by crawling under the back of the car for example, and what tools would I need?
Or is this just not possible/recommended? Again sorry if this sounds really basic or obvious, but I've never attempted it before and you gotta start somewhere eh
Any advice would be most welcomed thanks

Removing the rear silencers is very easy. Usually only two bolts a side, and slip them off the hangers.
Clearance to drop them out will be your only issue. But probably just possible if you car is running at stock ride height.
Have a looksie under the tail and it should be obvious if you have enough room or need to by a jack
(and jackstand of course)
