Quick dumb ass Flickr question

Always used Photobucket to host my pics before, but decided that perhaps a Flickr account might be a good idea. Uploaded couple of pics, but when I try to post them on here, the link in the Share This box doesn't seem to display on here correctly, and yes I have put the [pic] bits round it. e.g.



Looking at some of your posts, seems that you put a web address with .jpg at the end, in between the [pic] bits. How do I get that web address from Flickr so I can copy it onto my post on here. Frustrated because I have just spent half an hour trying to work it out. Thanks.

You need to right-hand click the image on that page (or from the 'all other sizes' link), select properties and then copy the URL form the properties.

I have been using photobucket for about a year now and have no complaints,However most on here use flikr. Is flikr are better than photobucket? am I missing something.

There's a decent photography community around flickr for discussion and critique etc.

I've had no issues with photobucket, but at work, any images from PB are barred, so I can't view my own pics or anyone else who hosts there. Flickr is not... dont ask me why. So that is the main reason I have flipped. Doubt I will bother moving everything over, I will just start afresh with my Flickr account.
