Just a heads up to an Edinburgh members. Chinese restaurant Chop Chop are on Gordon Ramsey's F Word on Ch4 just now.

Anybody been? It any good? Worthy of being crowned the best Chinese in Britain?

They were a major flop with the main courses though. The dumplins looked lovely too!

I've never been in and i only live half a mile round the corner.

I tend to go to the Chinese Manor House on the Glasgow Road as it's continually excellent.

I popped in for lunch today and was very impressed with the food - authentic chinese, great flavours and not the sickly sweet gloop we get served here so often.

Poor service (friendly enough), but this is no frills eating at its best.

Worth a look.

i agree with iain here no frills service but the food good if you are into real chinese cuisine the dumplings are very tasty fried or boiled.

Chop Chop is on the next block from us and it is a great place to eat. Not your usual Chinese food but delicious none the less. I am surprised they didnt fair that well on the F-word as every time I have eaten there the dumplings have been superb. Still it is great that they were recognised.
