Most TVRs assembled in one place?

Anyone know where the most TVRs assembled in one has been?

I have 551 for Rockingham 2007 and 667 for Chatsworth 2009.

Can anyone beat those numbers?

From memory there were approx 800 at Golden Mania in 1997 at Brands Hatch. Not sure I ever saw an official number.

Most TVRs assembled on Whitehall

Sadly there was no final official number for London Thunder. There was a film crew recording all of the cars as they left the Ace, as "evidence". Unfortunately, due to the unexpectedly large number of cars that turned up, not all of them could get near the Ace, never mind drive past the camera. IIRC there were 467 that DID go past the camera, and estimates at 100 to 200 that didn't - we'll never know for sure.

If you ask again in 5 years time, i'm sure that the numbers will have increased

I think this still stands as the record. Its only up the road from home & I wasnt 'on the scene' at that time...bummer!

Golden Mania was over two days and the number mentioned is the cumlative number of different TVRs that appeared over both days. The actual number on each day was lower. It was helped by the fact that it was in the prime of the Tuscan Challenge and there were about 40 TVRs racing, two qualifying races before a final race.

Must be the 700 at Chatsworth last April then.

I thought Rockingham was 551 on the track + 50 ish left in the car parks.

I am sure it was higher than that.....nearer 1200 cars .....this was at a time when the factory was in full flow & the Tuscan Challenge was the headline event unlike the later years when it became a support race.

The one & only time I saw the White Elephant in the flesh, from memory driven there by Peter Wheeler RIP with Ned the dog as co-pilot.

The White Elephant came on a trailer, at the time it was at Central TVR and they very kindly brought it down to Brands and put it in the Pavilion

Looking forwards, as the Chatsworth numbers seems to be growing exponentially each year - perhaps we should be looking at the weekend of 24th & 25th April 2010 as being a really special gathering???

Every year seems to attract almost exactly 150% ofthe previous year. Should beat 1000 this year then!
