Nipped down to my Go- Faster motor factors the other day to get some oil for my Chim.

On the shelves, they had some Carlube fully synthetic stuff that had the TVR logo on the front stating something along the lines, 'as recommended by TVR...'

How long have TVR been recommending this oil over Mobil products?

The shop was out of stock of Mobil 1 anyway so I had no choice but to buy the Carlube stuff.

Nick.

Dont know about performance - not used the car yet & highley unlikely to do so in the coming wekes due to one thing or another.

1 litre bottle is about 7 quid (cheaper than Mob 1)but has the same viscosity (i think) as the Mob 1 Motorsport.

Let's face it, there are only so many places in the world that make (or recycle) oil... and petrol, come to that

I use Valvolene 5w:40 supplied by Joolz at Joospeed. I think it works out at £4 /litre.
Mobil 1 was originally recommended for TVR's because of the touring car sponsorship...I think.
