Is your advert as jam packed with essential details as your post? That could be your problem

Lots of detail, nice pictures of a clean car, and be honest. Include description of expensive work carried out, like radiator change or major suspension work already carried out, that would attract serious buyers who know a thing or two about the brand. Always include mileage, say its on 150k on a 2000 530d, if its been well looked after thats still low mileage.

Always state the mileage, even if it's high, I don't even consider it if it's not printed. Use good english, any properly awful spelling or a complete lack of full stops and I assume the owner is an idiot and don't bother with it. Lastly, for god's sake don't write your ebay auction in 24 size bright blue comic sans text, I assume anyone writing like that is under 12 and probably hasn't serviced it properly.

A good advert and good pictures of an immaculate car in a nice location are the basics.

Accepting that you will have to take a more realistic and lower price for it is the next hurdle most of the time...

you dont say how old the car is, but if it isnt too ancient, and you need a quick sale, you could try Sytners.

I sold a car to them recently... no fuss, reasonable price... easy peasy...

Have you advertised it on here?

Also, links to the adverts so we can offer advice on how to improve them?

In my experience, good pictures of a clean car, good description and reasonable price.
You'll have someone knocking on your door with cash in there pocket the next day.
