with regard to fit, make sure you have a free moving fit on the bottom lugs into the body work. Mine had a new rad just before I bought it and started leaking at the bottom joint between the core and the sides after a 1000 miles of driving. I was told by the dealer that changed it that the car flexs more than the radiator and they "opened" up the mounting holes to ensure this didnt happen again. Another 1500 miles and so far so good.
All I need to think about now is increasing the mileage allowance on the insurance policy as I have done the annual mileage I normally put on my other "classic" car in a couple of months!

That's a good point about not making it a tight fit. The rad on my X-Trail moves about 6mm or so on rubber washers in all directions to reduce stress.
Also, make sure the edges of the fibreglass fan trays don't cut into the radiator core as mine did. I lined the edges with plastic 'U' channel.
