Late xmas shopping?

Try & get mine done a few weeks before now but a few years ago left it until xmas eve, worked until 12pm, down the pub with the guys, before i know it, it's 4.30pm! st! a little worse for wear head into town!
Will never leave it that late again but thank god for the petrol station staying open late!
Anyone got any funny stories?!
