Happy owner of a black 90 SE (1 week)
Does the rear wing attachment points supposed to have ugly black caulk around the exterior? Seems like there should be rubber base gaskets or something more attractive instead.

Hey Dave, welcome. I cant answer your question as I dont own an Esprit, but I noticed you are from Upstate NY. Whereabouts if you dont mind. I live in Putnam County, know where that is?

And lastly, PICS PICS PICS. Very rarely have I seen a black SE. Maybe once or twice in photos, but never once in person.

Thanks Calvin...I didn't think Lotus would install a wing using caulk. Must have been the PO's way of keeping the trunk from leaking. I'll add the seals to my growing list of parts to purchase.
Again, thanks Calvin, and the rest of the membership for helping out us newbees.
