Do the Canyon Swing, it is excellent. Jetboat overrated imo.

Head up the Gondala and do the luge! Head to the Nevis Bungee and swing, can be booked in the middle of town in the tourist building, can't miss it. There's so much to do you'll be sorted.

Have a Ferg burger for us!

Yep - go up Ben Lomond. As well as the Luge there's a trail that's nice to walk. Take your camera the views are fantastic!

Monster Mountain Rally if it's still running. They have/had an scooby powered dune buggy which you could hire to play with on their dirt track, and if you know how to drive, they will rent you their GRP-Aish spec Lancer which is/was running on AVGAS. Great fun.

Also I would thoroughly recommend a flight in the Pitt's Special bi-plane. You will fee sick for most of the day but boy it's worth it. Doing a full on Aero display above the lake with the Remarkables as a backdrop is a once in a lifetime experience you will never forget - expect +6 -4g

Another vote for the Luge and Gondola here and you've got to have a proper burger smile
I also hired a mountain bike for an afternoon and went playing out in the forests which seemed to be almost deserted smile

If you're an outdoor junkie, then you won't want to leave. Adventure capital of the world, so much to do!

I'm not hugely into crazy sports, so wont be doing so many of those!

I am trying to find a suitable heli trip to do, but will also go up the gondola and do the luge! Oh and a trip to Ferg smile I was thinking of doing the shotover jet, not sure though.

I would love to do the biplane, but have reservations as to whether i would even fit in it! (6ft 4).

We did the Pipeline Bungee and you get collected from the bottom in a jet boat, so combines the two activities (along with an interesting 4WD trip to get to the bridge although the road may have improved in 10 years).

As Hornetrider says, not a cheap place though.

The above mentioned activities were all great fun! For grub, you really have to get a Fergburger! Followed by a trip to the Chocolate Cafe (the actual name has escaped me) then a trip to World Bar for teapot cocktails wink

Is there more than one now? TBH I can't remember now, but it was a red-bull liveried Pitt's - can't be too many. We picked up the details in one of the myriad tourist shops.

Did this too. If your missus doesn't want to, she can pay a small fee (NZ$20 maybe???) to come out on the cable car and see you jump.

I really enjoyed the paragliding from the top of the cable car. (Try bribing the instructor fella to keep you up a bit longer...)

Jet boat was OK, but wouldn't do it a second time. Meant to be quite good out on the lake, as you get the view and the speed, the 360 next to a canyon wall gets tired after a couple of goes.

My bro lived out there a while, and recommends the white water rafting too.

You'll not run out of stuff to do, but take some cash, nothing is really cheap to do.
