Got an R56 One and the boot refuses to open when the car is unlocked. However, it will unlock when the specific boot release button on the fob is pressed so not the end of the world but a bit annoying. When I find the time, I'll go and see my friendly dealer but has anyone had this happen (and is there an easy fix)?

Possibility that it's an option in the user settings. I recall vaguely from the user's manual that there's a security option so that only the driver's door unlocks on the normal button. This would be in keeping with your need to use the specific unlock boot button.

If it is the user setting, it is easy to change. Just run the engine and enter the computer settings; select the fob/key settings. I did this change myself not long after taking delivery of the vehicle.

The only thing that seems to be the issue is the locking while driving off. This needs to be done by the dealer I understand. A word of caution when you enter the settings, you can set the car to lock itself if unlocked and door is not opened for a while. So if you are traveling and you have the spare key aboard and lose your key, the spare will be secured out of your reach.

Might be worth checking that the connector that plugs into the boot handle/trim is in place. The entire handle removes with a few torx screws and there's a connector which plugs into it to provide power for the numberplate bulbs and release button.
