Ok. Off to NYC next weekend (3rd to 6th December)with Mrs WillyJC.
I have been many times with work but this is a first time for the Mrs.

Any ideas on where to go / what to do / hot spots at the moment? I go snow blind with Time Out - also having been so many times with work i fear i may be overlooking "obvious" places & things to do.

I know the Rockefeller tree is being lit on the Thursday...and whilst it pains me a Gray Line Bus tour is probably on the cards the first morning.

Any local intel would be welcome.

nb. for reference we aren't doddering old fa rts so the livelier the better!

Go up the Rockafeller Building to see the view from the top that includes the Empire State.
Also there seem to be some very good helicoptor flights around the city and harbour area springing up recently which look like a cool way to see things.

I would recommend the following

Sights

- Circle Line Harbour cruise 2-3hours
- Top of the rock
- Visit Grand Central Terminal (go to the cocktail lounge or Oyster Bar)

Eating

- Balthazar

Or if you want something very romantic and different try this place (my wife loved it)

Have a Burger at the Michelin Starred 'Spotted Pig' near Horatio Rd in the Meat Packing District.
