Capturing stills to PC from video games

Really hacked off with the quality of the pics from Forza and want to produce some more professional stuff that I can tweak about with properly in a photoshop to create sales 'posters' etc.

Can anyone recommend some decent capture device / software?

Have you tried photo stitching to get a better res image from Forza Carl?

I don't see how a screen grab is going to give you a better image than the one you upload to the storefront and download to your PC via .net, or have I misunderstood your intention?

Anyway, for screen grab I use Corel Capture and Photoshop for any image manipulation and illustrator for any advert creation.

Only insomuch as the images uploaded via FM.net relatively low res and I have seen stuff produced by some americans that is real photo quality.

I.e photbucmet, flickr etc etc

If the saved files on the 360 are better quality that the version that gets uploaded, then a USB stick to transfer them to the PC?

There's no physical way of capturing stuff on the PC from the Xbox. Well, not without some expensive kit in the video feed that intercepts the signal and pipes it to a PC.

I used to have my Xbox running via a TV card in my PC, which meant I could take fantastic screenshots at the press of a button. Obviously this was in Pre-HD days, but I'm sure there is something out there which will do the same job.

Laptop will limit your options

This one will capture from HDMI, but not component and it's made for a full size PC not a laptop. I don't know of one that captures to a laptop.
