They say money cant buy happiness, and i personally think its bks.

i can think of nothing that would make me happier than going to the cash point and realising i could retire immediately.

Wouldn't make me happier, just make me die quicker.

You need a level of money to be comfortable, below this point, no amount of anything else will make you happy. However, as soon as you comfortably pass this threshold, then other things would be a lot more important (love, friendship, health, etc). As such, money is a prerequisit for happiness, but it on its own cannot ensure happiness. As such, you cannot buy happiness. All IME

Money, and lots of it, will buy you freedom. Freedom to do whatever you want, whenever you want to do it. This would make you happy. So, yes, money can buy you happiness.

No, but it can help. Happiness doesn't come from belongings, but not having to worry about money might allow you to concentrate more on having a happy life.

20% say no. Thus if they give me all their money, they'll be happier, and so will I. Win-Winsmile

But imagine the inner satisfaction you would get from helping people, maybe building a school or something. Perhaps creating a true legacy.

I think if you go the Ferrari route you might end up the same rather than happier, but if you take the philanthopist (sp?) route and you could end up very happy.

/non PH answer.

I'd still buy a big boat though.

lol. If I had loads of money I would indeed be much more content. I probably wouldn't be in the st situation I am now and would be running a business rather than working for someone else

(of course, if it was enough, i would be sunning myself on a big boat somewhere warm)

Unless you're naturally miserable anyway (which at the moment 15% of you appear to be) the answer is yes, of course it bloody well can!

If I'm talking about me, then yes, yes money could buy me happiness. Or rather pay the miniscule amount I owe to my Uni to pay my fees and stop getting myself kicked off my course. And make me happy by stopping the stress it's causing me.

Meh!

Ok I will sell you happiness, give me £1,000. How happy do you feel?

Money can not buy happiness but you can create an invironment to be happier in. Imagine buying a huge boat in Monaco and inviting all your freinds and family to join you. Fully stocked bar and a hired chef to provide up lots of tasty food flown in from all over the world. In the morning take a couple of jet ski's out for a blast, fantastic lunch then take your choice of cars for a blast, happier?

The expression is censored

So, if (for example) I was a fat bloke from South Wales who, the other week, suddenly became a multi-millionaire, you're suggesting that wouldn't afford me a certain amount of freedom? Would it not give me the ability to bog off and do anything, anything I've ever wanted to do, travel anywhere I've ever wanted to go and buy anything my previously limited imagination has ever wanted?

Explain, please, how having a st-load of money wouldn't set you free.
