Time to tackle the fuse box - Fan Fuse

So the time is drawing close to my car being insurable, so I need to make sure she's all working. The fan isn't working though, and I was told it's a fuse. The problem is, I don't want to have to go through every single fuse to find the offending item.
Firstly, where is the fuse box? Is it located somewhere in that rats nest of wires under the glove box?
Second, what size fuse is the fan fuse?

The engine fan fuse is the bottom row (row against all the relays) third in from the left. Shown as a 25A fuse in the Bible.

Ahhhhhhhhh ok that is second row down, second column in from the left. Its shown as a 30A.
BTW I bought some RainX anti-fog stuff before TiTT4 and the car didn't steam up at all the whole day (well apart from the rear screen which you cant do). Would recommend it. One bottle will do loads of applications but make sure its well ventilated, it's strong stuff!

Yup. The fan used to work, and cut out shortly after we did some work on the radiator to remove an air lock and flush it. I'm guessing it's purely coincidence, as from what I've been told the air lock can't effect the operation of the interior fan, correct? this is the point you realise how useful those fuses that light up when they blow are!
Here is a pic of my fusebox (I'm afraid it's upside down, as that's how it's situated at the moment. The innards of the car have fallen out, and I can't shuv them back in). There appears to be a missing fuse, which is what my finger is pointing at.

the blower fan is fused with a 15A just below the green 30A (in your picture above the green)

Hmmm, the knob that has the light on it that is situated above the tape player, doesn't seem to work. Shall I just replace all the fuses? do they work ?

Thats not the light switch, thats the fog light switch which requires the lights to be on. The lights are on a third stubby stalk behind the wiper stalk to the right of the steering wheel.
I seem to remember that I have a fuse missing too but I'm still at work so can't go look. I'll check tonight and let you know.

Ok chaps, well I've stolen my dad's volt meter, and also bought a big box of fuses, so I'll be sorting it out early next week.
Try your dipped lights cos you should get nothing with that fuse missing...should be a 15A there. Also I forgot to look at my fuses and now the cover is on and its raining so I'll get back to you on that one.sleeptalker said:

I managed to blow mine by stupidly shorting the contacts with a multimeter probe. Mine was fused through the instrument lighting and warning light fuse.The previous owner of my S3 says he removed it but i'm surprised nothing else seems to be affected?
Check you actually have something plugged into the back though as someone had done something interesting with my warning light wiring so one light had two +ve wires and another had two -ve wires going into it. You never know what's been disconnected.

Changed my lighter recently (old one lit up white while all instruments green) and managed to blow fuse, 7.5A also does n/s side lights.The previous owner of my S3 says he removed it but i'm surprised nothing else seems to be affected?

Just follow the maze from the cigar lighter to the fuse. Line "G"The previous owner of my S3 says he removed it but i'm surprised nothing else seems to be affected?
You end up in the second column, third row. It's a 10A fuse. (also feeds handbrake/low fluid warning light)
