Now mine's paid for, I was thinking the other day of asking Mark to build me 454lsx turbo and selling my old engine. If only there was a way of putting 2000hp on the road!

Mate you cant even drive yours now without busting something.
I think you should just have an engine on a stand in your living room you can start up now and again when you feel the need.

That's a nice idea! Also, my missus would divorce me if I suggested another build. Wouldn't mind doing the same as Stevie with his Granada if I ever had the time to build my own. Unfortunately I have to pay others to do it for me as time is the one thing I don't have.

There was a Jag 420G at the NSRA nationals which had a twin supercharged big block fitted and drag radials. I'd love to build something like that, it looked soooo cool.

We have, now running 14psi and it seems happy enough. 14 to 18psi added only an extra 63whp but nearly 100lbs extra torque and it was just too much. It would take another new clutch, diff and which would cost about 2k inc labour which is not good value.

Mark is fitting some scan gauges but that's it....for now

Nice engine but who or rather why would you leave a crank standing on end in the workshop when it's safer to lay it down.

The Americans seem to advise to store a crank upright.....less chance of it bending ...dont know if thats true but an interesting theory.

I like to put them on a shelf, low down in case some muppet knocks them over.
