window not dropping enough

Hi,

the offside window in the 350 has these symptoms.

When activating the door switch on the outside of the vehicle, the window will not drop quite enough to clear the bodywork.

The window works perfectly with the buttons inside, up and down.
The window closes fine when the alarm is activated.

Basically it just dosnt drop enough when opening from inside and outside the vehicle.

When raising the window it does seem to get slower, the window motor seems warm but not overly so.

Also the window does seem a little tight on the rubber seal but i would have thought it wouldnt affect the operation of the droping proceedure.

Any ideas chaps?

just switched the DCMs over and established they are fine, so looks either mechanical or the door motor?

Happens to mine in cold weather so i just live with it until the warmer months arrive. Worth trying some silicon maybe though.

But they don't all do that. I'm not sure whether there is any adjustment for this.

My Tam has done this occaisionally too, and I used a small amount 'dash cleaner' type spray on a cloth and wiped it on the rubber seals. Job done.

Water in the wiring loom / electrical connectors located inside the door under the mirror area. The terminals get corroded and stop working.

Had same problem on my T350.

Mine used to do thi sonce in a while. Anything related to doors/windows could be fixed by opening them all and then closing them all! TVR equivalent of a reboot I guess!

Mine has just started doing this - cold morning today and my window barely droped enough to clear the roof which was a bit of a pain. Once warm it dropped and rose fine but the window is slower to use as well.
Can anyone tell me how to get to the runners and what bits need lubing? Is the door card anything like the Chimaeras? ie/ a PITA to get off?

Door cards a doddle much easier than the chim.
Underneath the door theres 3 plastic plugs that cover allen bolts remove them and take the card off.
Silicone spray the glass runner felts.

In addition to the glass runner felts, I found on our's that the door seal was a bit gunky and was further impeding the window's travel. Might be worth using silicon lube on the seals too?
