Just been on detailing world and found a 50% off discount code for Valantines Car Wax, not yet tried it but gets very good write ups.
http://www.valentineswax.com/valentines-carnauba-w... carnauba

Their Concours Carnuba wax sells for £75/tub but Ive just bought it with the discount code for £37.50, still expensive but well worth it if you are a bit of a car cleaning saddo like mebiggrin

I believe the discount is only valid until midnight tonight, I dont want to upset anybody by posting the code on here but it is easily found using the search on Detailing World

Is it better to polish in circles or straight lines?

Guess if you are talking polish then it should be applied in a circular motion as a polish is abrasive and will mark paint. Applying in a circular motion as per a rotary machine polisher will reduce the chance of concentrating on one area.

As far as applying a wax (non abrasive) then a professional detailer I know told me to apply by hand in short straight lines from front to rear of the car, but I think this is more to do with not wasting an expensive wax by overlapping rather than finish.
But detailers can be a bit obsessive, from my experience don’t think it really matters!
