TVR Spiders

I have just bought a very cheap set of spiders to use on my car. They are 18" ones. I have 5 stud conversion but when I look at the inside of the rims they all say rear...

Tyres on the back are 255/35/18
tyres on the front are 225 or maybe 235/35/18

I cant try them on the car as the body is off and I have now taken the tyres from the rims.

Before I waste money refurbing them whats the views. Will all rears be too wide??

No, rears (et33) all round is the best bet for the Griff/Chims.


Sportmotive sell the spigot rings and front spacer (with built in spigot rings),if required.

Im probably going to replace the front tyres then. On the back there are Goodyear eagle f1.

Whats a good tyre? and size 225 or 235?

And by the way I cant possibly post a pic of them until I have refurbed them. They were on a FORD PROBE !!!!!!!

And the goon had put big RS stickers inside...

What a shame! still they will be put back to standard and on a proper car

.... and here they are after I brought them from Neal and I had them refurbed in anthracite for my red Chim.



Does anyone know where I can get the spigot rings?

Sportmotive no longer do them and the ones I got from flebay don't fit (although 70.1 to 63.4 is the right size) the taper on the rings reduces the height at the required diameter and therefore they wont go home.

I've got 225/35/18 on the front of mine and work well

And this is the result. Over the moon for £50 cash. Front I've got 235 x 35 x 18 and 245 x 40 x 18 on the rear. Pirelli asymmetric.
