As above - if you don't believe in MMGW / MMCC and think that Cap & Trade, Copenhagen, Kyoto, expensive windymells et al are the biggest con since, well, since ever, who do you vote for at the election?
Normally I'd be a shoe-in for Conservatives and I detest Broon with a passion, and the thought of 5 more years of him makes me sick to the stomach, but CMD is greener than Brown, so what is the choice??

Who says you will even get a chance to exercise that right ?

Own up, who voted Green Party?
Was it TB?
I've had a brief look at UKIP's policies... as far I can see they will NOT implement policies/legislation/taxes based on the nonsense of Man Made-up Global Warming.

Here is a summary of the broad range of policies proposed by UKIP for an independent Britain in which democracy really works.
UKIP will leave the political EU and trade globally and freely. We will re-embrace today’s fast-growing Commonwealth and we will encourage UK manufacturing so that we make things again.
We will freeze immigration for five years, speed up deportation of up to a million illegal immigrants by tripling the numbers engaged in deportations, and have ‘no home no visa’ work permits to ease the housing crisis.
We will have a grammar school in every town. We will restore standards of education and improve skills training. Student grants will replace student loans.
We will radically reform the working of the NHS with an Insurance Fund, whilst upholding the ‘free at the point of care’ principles. We will bring back matrons and have locally run, clean hospitals.
We will give people the vote on policing priorities, go back to proper beat policing and scrap the Human Rights Act. We will have sentences that mean what they say.
We will take 4.5 million people out of tax with a simple Flat Tax (with National Insurance) starting at £10,000. We will scrap Inheritance Tax, not just reform it and cut corporation taxes.
We will say No to green taxes and wind farms. To avert a major energy crisis, we will go for new nuclear power plants on the same existing site facilities and for clean coal. We will reduce pollution and encourage recycling.
We will make welfare simpler and fairer, introduce ‘workfare’ to get people back to work, and a new citizens pension and private pensions scheme insurance.
We will support our armed forces with more spending on equipment, military homes and medical care. We will save our threatened warships and add 25,000 more troops.
We will be fair to England, with an English Parliament of English MPs at Westminster. We will replace assembly members like MSPs with MPs. And we will promote referenda at local and national levels.
We will make customer satisfaction number one for rail firms – not cost cutting and will look seriously at reopening some rail lines that Beeching closed. We will make foreign lorries pay for British roads with a ‘Britdisc’ – and we will stop persecuting motorists.
Last, but never least, we will bring in fair prices and fair competition for our suffering farmers, and restore traditional British fishing and territorial waters.

9.4 If anthropogenic carbon dioxide is indeed proven to be critical to recent global warming, as the IPCC suggests, then UKIP will re-examine its present position.
However, the IPCC also says that much of the expected change in temperature and sealevel over the rest of this century will continue even if atmospheric carbon dioxide levels
can be held at current values. Even if their view is essentially correct, we should avoid panic actions to cut emissions: this would do little to modify the climate but would risk serious economic, social and political consequences.
If non-human factors prove to be major drivers of recent
global warming, our chances of intervening successfully are slight. Efforts then need to be directed to mitigating
consequential problems, for example by moving populations from low-lying areas, enhancing sea and other flood defences, modifying agricultural practices to suit the new conditions, and fishing in more northerly waters expected to have enhanced fish stocks.
9.5 The UK produces less than 2% of global carbon dioxide emissions...
Trouble is, what realistic chance do they have in a General election? If by voting UKIP we risk letting Labour back in, can we take the chance? You might want to look at these policies, else you'll end up an also-ran.
Has anyone considered the Libertarian Party? Politics with a much more coherent philosophical basis, and a belief that more government is the problem, not the answer. Imagine a political party that believes people are mostly grown-ups and can (and should!) think for themselves.

The next thing we know Emperor Brown will be planning a Grand New Army of the Republic.
For sure UKIP are an attractive proposition, but just think of the damage to the country that would be caused by voting for them and thus possibly allowing the current disaster to get back in. Vote conservative; much of their voter base is UKIP-sympathetic anyway so should have some influence if in power.
It doesn’t matter who gets in if they are all peddling the eco tax route – especially carbon credits/cap'n'trade. It the Tories win, it would be like receiving a nice little windfall from a relative, only to find you have to pay three times the amount in taxes.
I fear left or right loyalties pale into utter insignificance when it comes to what the EU has in store – and UKIP will never get a large vote – the media and journalists to whom the majority trust are too staked in Europe’s favour.
It seems defeatist, but when I look around and see just how fragmented and at each other’s throats we are over the pettiest of things, it is very difficult not be feel anything else but.
