As title,

Somewhere near Glasgow that can remove a remap and get the standard one back on,
finally after 6 weeks got my freelander back from it's transmission renewal but my specialist has concerns about the remap, the car off boost is sluggish but clears when on boost. He recons it's badly overfuelling at all rpms and off boost the air/fuel ratio is crap.

So where can I get the map taken off? Will replace it next year with a different one from a company with more experience.

Whoever done it should be able to put it back to standard, unless they didn't save your original file. Usually the company that do it will save your original setting and will put back to standard for free.

You could give Seditas Cars a call in Prestwick, really helpful and i found them very good. I think the guys name was Michael but i could be wrong. 01292-470787 or www.seditascars.co.uk

Could also try Powertune Scotland. Based in Motherwell, Joe, I am sure would be able to take the map off for you.

Power tune looks a winner, 5 miles away as well!

The tuner is Twisted Performace and they are based somewhere in england and i cant be bothered to go down for it.

Kmm, you'll have first hand experience of it smoking when coming on boost from the oct run.

How does he know the AFR is bad? Did he use a wide band sensor or equivelent?

A good map will always be better than the factory map. Where was it originally done?

It was done by the company at a landrover show back in july.
They do have good reputation but ive emailed them about a few things im not sure about and have had no reply. Dispite spending £450 on them.

Also, when accelerating through the gears with full throttle, about 75-80 mph i get an amber engine warning light appearing on my dash. My hand book says this is the "engine overspeed light" it goes out after 5-10 seconds though and bar one occasion there is no drop in performance.

Any ideas whats causing this as the company in question seem to have a "we have your cash now fk off attitude"
