Zac Goldsmith has now admited he has non dom tax status.

So tell me why the Blues are any different that the tts we have now?

For those of you that will vote Tory and watched the Politics show when your goldern boy William Hague was pushed twice on this issue and he spun and avoided the question in quite frankly an embarresing display of fudge.

I used to like Hague but this put me off him. It seemed obvious to me he was avoiding because he nknew teh truth. I also think he said something like Zac would not be allowed to be part of the Cons party unless he changed his status any body else remember him saying that?

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/politics/art...

also
Goldsmith is an ally of David Cameron and was commissioned by the Conservative leader to draw up a blueprint for environmental and “quality of life” policies. He suggested a swathe of green taxes, including hikes in levies on 4x4 vehicles and aviation, and rebates on stamp duty for green homes.

so he avoids tax yet proposes us plebs pay more. Tell me why I should vote Tory?

because IMO they are all a bunch of lieing s, help me out.

No point helping you out. Whatever happens it all boils down to this - at the next election you can have a fourth term for new labour or a first term for the conservatives. That's your only choice so suck it up.

You know, as someone who has always taken a healthy interest in politics, I really don't care anymore - they have only succeeded in making me numb with apathy.

Because the alternative is to vote for two parties both of whom are bigger s than the tories. At least the tories have a grip on the idea of government, unlike labour and the libdems, both of whom see it as a way of imposing their silly fckuing ideas on the rest of us and making us pay for it.

If only because the conservatives aren’t labour. why not write to Cameron asking why he's allowing this to go on?

Personally I don’t think any person should be able to stand for election as an MP unless they have lived and continue to do so, in the area they wish to represent................no confusion about which house is your primary, no confusion over tax status & at least some of the local concerns and issues will affect you and your family

Another death kneel for me in the concept of the Tories being 'principled' or valuing such outmoded concepts such as 'ethics'.

I think Hague has always known and has been told to lie by CMD.
Judgement call then for Hague - lie as told, or quit.

I would respect a resignation more.

As long as his intentions are to serve the people and be proud to serve the people i couldn't give a monkeys fk about the way his personal finances are set up.

At the end of the day hopefully a conservative government will be more about small control and enterprise rather than the freaks we have in power now!

I completely agree.

The MP should represent the community and to do that should be from the area, or shall we say lived there for x amount of time.

How can you represent people when you do not know them?

I have thought long and hard about UKIP, but, and I knw this is a 'cop out', they will never gain any power to makes a difference. The reason being, I believe, is that the UK is now too fragmented, and 'tribalism' is too strong for any seemingly common sense parties to win. There are simply too few of us 'non tribal' types to make any kind of difference, a harsh reality I have had to come to accept.

Does it matter what NL do? I agree with elster. But does it mean that the Torys shouldn't bother because NL don't bother?

Thats not really the point I'm getting at.
Its more the spin and hypocrissy.

I suppose you need to have seen the interviews I am talking about with William Hague avoiding the question.

They are all as bad as each other,we have a choice of voting between the really bad and the bad,I don't really think you can get a cig. paper between them and they wonder why so many people have become detatched from politics.I must admit to becoming slightly disillusioned with the lot of them..

Well yes. I agree with that too. That is why I would like an overhaul of our whole establishment.

In the grand scheme of things it is a non story........

The country needs a kick up the arse and Labour cannot wake up and take control of the situation. I am no Conservative fan but if the conservative cabinet can make the drastic cuts required and get UK Plc's books balanced they will get my vote. As long as i finally get my fair and decent country back where i am not controlled, monitored and made the feel like the under dog all the time i do not care if some tory rich boy stored his money is an off shore account! In the same situation i would do the same!

If he paid all the tax on his wealth and earnings it would be pissed into a black hole anyway!

This is just the lefties having a pop at the 'toffs' again.

You seem to have missed my point twice. I am obviously not comunicating well enough.

I do not necessarily disagree with you. Yes its a mostly non story (apart from him proposing new taxes for us while avoiding them himself there is at least a talking point there)

While watching the two interviews its obvious to me that these lot are just teh same as the lot we have now.

They spin, they lie, they cover up its all a big game to them.

I.E IMO they have shown to me that they just like the s we have now can not be trusted.

So what makes you think you will " finally get my fair and decent country back where i am not controlled" with this group treating us with teh same contempt?

It is the same with all party politics. In my mind it doesn't work.

Logically there should be a representative for your community (MP). Those with skills in different areas are put on the Committees and in the Cabinet as decided by a centrally voted leader.

Otherwise good ideas to help the country will never come to fruition as they just play games.

Because the last time they were in the place was infinitely better than it is now.

And i'd rather they avoided tax than pay it out at the rate of £83K a year to house a family of parasitic Somalis, for example......
