Why do they require you to have a degree to loiter around some seedy lapclubs?

"Experience of interviewing and conducting surveys is essential, as is prior experience of conducting research in the female sex industry."

I don't suppose there's a big lack of that kind of experiencebiggrin

"Salary: Grade 7 (£29,704 - £35,469 p.a)
The appointment will be made at £31,513 p.a or below since there are funding limitations which dictate the level at which the appointment can start."

Bugger - only a max of £31k for extensive titty bar visits. That's my application in the bin rolleyes Wouldn't get out of bed for less than £40k!!! Although, up to £5k of relocation expenses, plus obvious expenses in the name of research & we're in the money - Who Hooospermparty

One for the speeling pedants - "The post is located in the Social Sciences Builsing". The spell checker is obviously scary new technology in sunny Leeds. Application killer!!

Because it's scientific work.

bks is it!

It won't make the blindest bit of difference whether you spend your day conducting diligent, deep meaningful interviews or drooling and stuffing £20 notes in every crevice imaginable. The result will be the same. Harriet Harman will try to ban it. Gordon will try to tax it.

That was what average people were thinking when I researched in adaptive dampers for passenger vehicles and told them I need to drive on race tracks for this.

Why do they require you to have a degree to roam around some speedy laps?
