As title suggests really. Which of the following would you plump for irrespective of price. I'm happy to spend the money on any of the below but just need to know which one.
Also, is 1080p/Full HD all its cracked up to be?

Where did you get that price though? As I just paid £699 from John Lewis, and I could rape them with the undersell.

I got that price from Electronic World as featured on the gadget show some weeks back. They sell graded TVs. Seem reputable enough though.
Off topic but are you on 205gti drivers?

I recently bought this screen too and have been very, very pleased with it. I had some Currys vouchers and got them to beat the local Richer Sounds by 10% of the difference in selling price. Paid £580 for mine iirc. Make sure you get a decent HDMI lead, it makes a difference.

As with all things like this, there'll always be a slightly better one for slightly more, but you just have to draw your line in the budgetary sand. For £580 I'm more than pleased with mine, put it that way!

Stay away from the 42PZ70 for 2 reasons,

1, they are not a current model (approx 2 years old)
2, they are known for faulty screens

I think Currys had it up for £799 and I ended up paying about £580-ish after a bit of negotiating I think. Richer did have it in stock within 10 miles of the Currys branch. Not sure what JL's price-match policy is, but certainly worth investigating.

Also, after some research, it would seem that 1080p isn't really worth it. Seems very much as though its a marketing exercise with the aim of getting people to upgrade.

Don't just think about now, think about 3-4 years' time.. If you're buying a screen now, you'd be mad not to go full 1080p for an extra £70.

Yup they do, either by component or HDMI

Only the original Elite (black) with HDMI, and the updated Core and Premium (HDMI), all using the Falcon chipset.
Original 360s are analog HD over component, which is restricted to 1080i.
