What a great little film. A trillion times more spooky/frightening than any of the gorn films made over the last few years. Just shows there's no substitute for imagination and invention. Just wish they hadnt changed the end from the original though....

In the original the camera in the bedroom stays running and you see her come back up covered in blood holding a large knife. She sits down on the floor by the bed and rocks for 12 hours, then you hear her friend/sister come in and start screaming when she discovers his body downstairs (she continues rocking) then the Police arrive, come upstairs, challenge her and she stands up and asks where Mika is, walking towards the police with the knife so they shoot her as she doesnt put it down. Then it ends.

Just thought it was a much more fitting end rather than a set up for a big budget Paranormal Activity 2.....

Hopefully for the 2nd on, money wont spoil it and it will keep the little edge it seemed to have over alot of recent horrors....

Some great tension and it kept me hooked for the whole film (i often fidget after an hour or so) ... but whilst i love this type of horror to slasher / gore films it wasn't THAT scary. I think the trailers gave too much away. YOU

bit of a daft question but I managed to acquire a copy of this and watched it last night. I agree that the trailer gave too much away but in my copy the spoiler you gave is what actually happened.. So what is the ending at the cinema? I feel as though I need to know incase I watch the 2nd one at a later date. Cheers

There is another ending too, i've never heard of the "escaped" ending, but the original ending was "shot by the police", and the other alternate ending was she slits her throat infront of the camera.
