Afternoon all.

With the impending resurrection of my beloved M3 Evo, at the end of the rebuild she'll have all sorts including a full inspection 2. I think it time I change the diff oil as well so does anyone have recommendations?

That is all.

Thanks

Sorry, can't help, but I'd also like to know, about to do the same thing. I believe LSD's need different type of oil. I'll be using mine on track so good quality is essential.

Castrol SAF-XJ, well, that's the original spec anyway.

There are different oils for different types of lsd, BMW use clutched plates so need a certain type, but other gear based diffs would need something else.
You'll need 2 bottles, as it takes about a litre and a half to fill.

Opie oils on ebay were the cheapest i found for it.

Spoke to Opie oils...

"The one recommended oil for that is the Castrol SAF-XJ.

It's so well proven that I would use that rather than trying any of the other oils."
