A conversation about MMGW

Was at the Jimmy Carr show last night at the Brixton Academy and in the foyer were a group wearing "Act on CO2" T-Shirts who approached me and a friend. One girl in the group approached us with the opening line "Have you got a second to..."
Me: "I'm sorry but, considering you have "CO2" on your t-shirt, I cannot believe a single word you are about to say"
Her: "So do you not believe the earth is getting warmer?"
Me: "Yes, it's certainly possible, although I'm not convinced"
Her: "And do you not believe that man could be responsible for this?"
Me: "<laughs> er... no, no I don't"
Her: "Really?! Well what do you think might be causing this then?"
Me: "Well, if it is happening, it's probably something to do with that massive ball of fire in the sky!"
Her: "OK, well do you not believe it would be good to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels?"
Me: "Why do you say that?"
Her: "Well this is probably responsible for half of the wars that have ever taken place"
Me: "Possibly, but then religion is probably responsible for just as many"
Her: "But we can't do anything about religion?"
Me: "And you can't do anything about the planet getting warmer..."
Her: "Thanks for your time, it's nice to speak to someone with an opinion of their own, rather than just repeating something they've heard"
She didn't seem to have anything in the way of fact to back up her points, which I think sums up the whole MMGW debate.

ker tried to give me a free umbrella with some slogan about CO2 on it. I was walking through town in the piss rain trying to move to cover where I can. He said "Good morning sir. The weather report said it is probably going to rain today..." whilst holding an umbrella towards me. I chose to carry on getting pissed wet through.
