Hello all
I need mega help
I have just purchased a lovely ALFA ROMEO GTV CUP
the previous owner for whatever reason removed the cup plaque with its number on and replaced it with a blank plaque-
I want to trace the cup number-
the reg is Y676 SBU and it did have a private plate on it at some time which was
R1 DCK
Any help would be much appreciated
thanks

This might be something or nothing, but this thread seems to be talking about your car:

Appears to be listed as a genuine cup (checked by pretending to do a data check online).

Comes up as "The vehicle Y676SBU, a Alfa Romeo Gtv Cup (Coupe)"

Call Alfa and ask smile

If it's a genuine one as you say it is, then the cup number should be on the V5 according to this....

Then all you need to do is ask Alfa for a new plaque. God knows why anyone would want to remove the original one.
Nah, if you read all 6 pages (I was bored!) they all say Variant 33 on them, it'll just say GTV Cup on the V5.

Yep - my non-Cup 3.0V6 says "Version: 33" on the V5; the guy on AO was getting in a tiz because of the coincidence that he had Cup #33 and the seller assumed his was #33 due to the version number on the V5.

If the thread can be believed, the original owner of the car in question kept the Cup plaque when selling the car on. The next owner then bodged it with a fake plaque. I got bored of reading it at that point...
