Hi all,

I am trying to find somewhere that sells model kits of a 205, either GTI or T16 is fine but I can't seem to find any?

I can find plenty of similar era cars like the golf gti and Renault 5 turbo but no 205 frown

Any help greatly appreciated biggrin

Unfortunately I believe the only kits are of the rally versions, EV2, Rallye and Turbo 16. The EV2 and Turbo 16 are 1/24th, the EV2 being Heller and the Turbo 16 being Tamiya. The Tamiya would be the superior kit. The Rallye is also Heller but is 1/43rd scale. I don't think anyone does a kit of the road going version.

You can get a pre-made model of the road version. I have two of my exact car (ph 1.5 1.9 in graphite grey - albeit with LHD instead). Can't remember who makes them though.

As for the Tamiya model, any model shop worth its salt will have one, or a way of ordering you one in. Check ebay too.

eBay is probably your best bet for the Tamiya kit.

Solido make the standard GTI in 1/18 aswell as the T16 E2 & pikes peak car. Minichamps make the standard 205, 1.9 GTI & CTI in 1/43. Norev make the Rallye, 1.6 & 1.9 GTI's also in 1/43. Ixo Altaya Partwork cars have a 1.6 GTI & rally car versions(not rallye) once again in 1/43. There is a 1/24 GTI its part of an italian quattroruote collection, seen on ebay for about £6 each.
