Was it me or was some of the noise from the LP550 Balboni Vs Caravan air ship not very lamborghini... I thought there was some DBS sound in there? And why did it not go around the track, i was looking forward to seeing if it beat the LP560s time.

When they tested the LP560 against the GT2, the GT2 was being reviewed but the sound was lambo....

True, i was also looking forward to it but was left disapointed. I think everyone wanted to see if it was quicker than its 4WD sibling around the TopGear track. I wonder if Lambo gave them it on the condition that they did not put them head to head???

looked fantastic I thought, I really like the grey with the multispoke SL style wheels. All the LP's I have seen on tv have sounded really good, I didn't notice the DBS sound at all. I have to say I havn't heard one in 'real life' though.
Would have liked to see it do a lap too, was surprised it didn't.

Chances are it's slower around the track than an LP-560, that's the only logic there can be behind Lambo not allowing them to publish a track time. They release a new version of the car, it doesn't look great if it turns out being slower than the previous one, which I bet it is.

they had no time to put the Balboni on track as they had to include that important test of a kit car for midgets

i'm not sure it was designed to be quicker than the LP560, despite being a "new release", its a completely different car in terms of driving experience...that said i'm sure the 2 will be extremely close in terms of lap time.

the top gear car is coming to the market with lambo manc v soon...manual, 5k miles - seriously tempting
