I had to take my youngest in a push chair into London today and was really surprised by how many strangers offered to help me. I was even offered a seat on the tube by a foreign looking chap.

Until today I used to think all Londoners were either soulless wage slaves, gang members or russian prostitutes.

I see now that Londoners are actually kind considerate people.

I helped carry someone's pushchair up the stairs on Sunday.

I'm only south of, oooh... yorkshire maybe? for the money.

I think this will be the case with the people that helped you too smile

What time did you travel? Outside of rush hour?

Yes, I wouldn't dream of trying to get in and out during the rush hour. Do you think that none of the kind people I met were actually Londoners? hehe

I don't think Londoners, or more precisely, people who live in London, are any worse than anywhere else in the country. Do chose when you move about though.

I get pissed of with people sightseeing with a pushchair around Bank tube station at 17:30 on a Friday evening. I'm trying to get home after a busy week, and if someone is wandering around looking at the buildings and stopping in the path, I feel kinda justified in "tutting" loudly at them, and saying "feckin' tourists" under my breath.

No, we're not all that bad, I'd help people with a pushchair and have never had a problem taking my little one in - apart from the screaming fit he had in a coffee shop once whilst people were trying to have meetings...that didn't go down too well.

God people with pushchairs - just who do they think they are with their pushchairs and golf umbrellas.

I need to attach the lightning rod to something with rubber wheels so that I am safe!
