So with the help of Lord Summerisle I've decided on a stone but now for the actual ring.
I'm going for a 0.55ct princess cut in white gold and will most likely end up with a classic Tiffany style ring but I'd like to add my own touch without trying overly hard.
So basically..help!
How do you go about translating an idea in your head to an actual ring? I suffer from good ideas/crap hands when it comes to art & design.

a simple one would be to have the basket turned through 45° - so the points of the princess are north south east west on the finger, rather than the usual way.
you could inquire with Brian about having the diamond set in his 'truth head' which shows more of the side of the diamond than some baskets (which have a band of metal part way up to hold the prongs in place.
