I have to be in Bootle for 09:00 on Monday morning.

There are no flights for me on the Sunday (ABZ to LPL, Eastern is the only option).

There's a flight on the Monday morning which arrivers at 07:50.

Would I have any chance of getting to Bootle (by taxi) for 09:00?

RAC says 23 mins and AA say 18 mins but I guess they won't take account of Monday morning traffic.

Thanks,

Eric smile

Google maps says 29 mins, can't seeing it taking over double that time even in rush hour. Its only 11 miles.

You're skirting around the centre so may not be caught in the worst traffic.

Ring the cab firm at the airport and ask them.

Shouldn't be too much of an issue. I'm pretty sure there's an Arriva bus service and merseyrail service too which probably would be better if your on a deadline.

Traffic will obviously be bad going into Liverpool centre, but a good cabbie will be a safe bet too!

Last time I was in Manchester was to watch Coldplay at the LCC. The gig finished around eleven and the trains all stopped ten minutes later, so not a cat in hells chance of catching it.

I had to wait around at a bus stop til four in the bloody morning to get the early bus back to Widnes. I was quoted £100 to take me the 16 miles to Widnes by an Asian taxi driver who got told to Foxtrot Oscar.

The daft thing is after midnight I'd of expected fares like that!

Used to get 7:00 out of LCY to LPL

Land 7:50
In office by cab opposite Liver Building 8:35, tight, but defiantly do-able.

There's a train station just outside the airport, which will take you to the city centre in minutes. You could get a black cab to the station, catch the train, and then a black cab from Liverpool to Bootle.

Don't do this, you'll never get a cab the other end, and by the time you've found the train, bought a ticket you could be half way there.

Don't fly to Manchester either- same reason and it's too far away.

LPL -Hand luggage, off flight first, cab rank off to Bootle -

Off to HSE are we?

It's a bit of a ball ache to get to in a morning as you have to get across all of liver pool whichever way you go in. Traffic can be really hit or miss and there appears no rhyme or reason for it. Give yourself plenty of time - you can always go for a coffee.

When I've got meetings there I tend to either stay over or arrange them for mid morning. Most people I know take the train in - can't help you there as I've never done it.

Oh and if you are visiting the HSE parking is a pain in the arse if you take a car.

Taxi all the way, or taxi to Livepool south Parkway (Garston) to Bootle oriel road (out of train station and straight up the road to HSE/HMRC/Nuclear Safety) Taxi = 10 mins, train = 20 smile

Just park 5 mins up the road by the church biggrin the one thing you've got to give Bottle is that your never more than 5 mins away from free parking (or at least it was 8 years ago)
