NEW 2012 Focus RS

Just seen the new line up of the 2010 Focus in Auto express.

They say a new RS will be available in 2012, with a 2.0 turbo engine, retaining front wheel drive & more than the current models 301bhp!

Looks a handsome beast too!

Usual AE tat,had a look earlier. Same old cobbled together photoshopping too, so i wouldn't pay too much attention to the pics. I'd let Ford get on with releasing the base mk3 Focus before even contemplating another RS model being released.

Yep, your right, interesting to see that the RS is being considered in the line up in this economic climate!

If only Ford would do what AE claim half the time!! They'd be selling more cars than they could build. 2L turbo sounds better though, the one thing that put me off swapping the 220 for an RS was the fuel consumption.

What you getting on your 220 ? im getting 26-27mpg if taking it easy.

24MPG as it's always driven the same whenever i go out in it I wouldn't buy it to take it easy i'm afraid, no way i could resist!!!

I get 24mpg from mine when driven hard & the best i've had out of it is 30.1mpg on a long trip driving like a nun!! Usually around 28mpg under normal conditions!

Sorry mate! I been told that the ST drinks more than the RS!! I've yet to get mine close to the teens yet! Maybe im not trying hard enough!

The picture given looks almost identicle to the current car .. I'm pretty sure they only had the one head on piture too..

It's one of those magazines that has ver little substance .. sadly
