Do you want/need the data overlay, otherwise you can achieve a cheaper, similar quality solution with a high res bullet cam from RFconcepts.co.uk?

Taken a look at AIM's "SmartyCam"? It has an inbuilt 10Hz GPS receiver and can also interface with most ECUs through their CAN bus.

Yes it's the data overlay that I would like. I already have a bullet camera system that is ok but would like the additional data overlay too. I do like the look of the Racelogic one...

Thanks

Ahh the age old question. I have a Video VBox "Pro" (same as lite just came out before the lite so was the only option) and frankly I think its brilliant.

Theres a new data analysis software due out soon to make it more intuitive as well.

I use mine allot, in and out of different cars and it takes about 15minutes to do a full install (I have a seperate battery pack).

I'm not so clever with graphics software so my images don't look briliant but if your clever in that area then you can do some amazing stuff with it.

Give Stephen at track club a shout.

He does a lot with the Video V box, and has quite a few nice graphics etc, he might be able to send you a video etc, so you can see.

I've got an AIM Smartycam in my Juno, ran it for the first time during the 6hr VdeV race at Estoril a couple of weeks ago and it worked a treat. Particularly effective if you already have an AIM data logger in the car of course

I have used the Video 4 system and it is an impredssive bit of kit indeed. The race technology stuff is probably better for data logging, but if it is the video that you are more interested in then I would save a few quid and get the race logic stuff.
