I am now actively looking for a RR vogue post 2006 or 55 plate face-lift model. No more than 60K miles

If you are selling then let me know what you have. Will consider 4.4 TD6 & TDV8 (yes i know all about the different engines, but will make a decision based on what cars are put forward)

Preferences would be dark paint light interior. Ultimate gadget auxiliary heating. IN warranty would be ideal.

No autobiography unless you were able to steer away from 2 tone seats !

Lets see what turns up

Cheers

Is it just diesel that you are looking at?

As I have a S/C with approx 32k in Remini Red, light interior. It is the MY07 model with the new much improved interior, elctroni handbrake etc

Complete with rear entertainment screens, phone prep

Let me know and I'll provide more details

What was the difference on the interior and when did that start from. Please let me know the details, but I am sure that the MPG on the SC will scare me.

Cheers

If as per your OP you're prepared to consider the 4.4, then the S/C will only be a couple of MPG adrift.

Due to having to move back to a company car next year I may be offering for sale my late Nov 05 (2006 MY) 55 plate S/C currently with 47k miles towards the end of Feb. It has had £6k's worth of LPG conversion in the past 12 months so it’s probably the only S/C that is 'properly' converted with new hardened valves etc. by JE Engineering. The LPG conversion means it costs in fuel roughly the same as a 35mpg diesel to run and I have done about 25k miles on LPG so far. The LPG conversion has not been without its challenges but we seem to have overcome them all now. Given the complexity of the LPG map required I suggest you do don't consider a S/C LPG conversion from anyone else other than JE and I believe mine is the only RR S/C that they have undertaken so far. From what I gather the 4.4 is much simpler to convert and set up but you'll probably still need to change the valves at some point which adds another £2k or so to the conversion cost when they need doing.

It’s black/black but with clear windows and has had 1 previous owner who did 20k miles over the first 3 years! FLRSH to 12 months ago then FSH by JE Engineering since. Currently 12 months MOT. I haven't given much thought to pricing yet because I'm still a couple of months from possibly selling unless someone is desperate.

My dilema is I like to RR S/C so much I don't want to sell. It's so full of kit (DVD's in the rear, TV, 400BHP, secure and comfortable... etc.) and completely over engineered (as are all RR's) that I may decide to keep it and give it to my wife to run and sell her CRV....we'll see.

PM me if you're seriously interested.

Not sure of the complete chages, but what I can remember:
Dash redesigned, gear position moved, electronic brake, air cond seats, much improved ventilation, believe 6 speed gearbox, suspension changed
Mine was originally a LR car used to ferry VIPs around, one of the earlier MY07, registered Dec 06 on 56 plate.
As has been said if you are considering a 4.4 then the S/C will not be too different, infact I reckon I get the same as my previous 4.4, mainly because I do not use sports mode whereas the 4.4 lived in that mode.
The car is fully loaded I think the only thing not on it was the towbar. Even has the venture cam, still have not found a use for it. Has rubber mats all round inc boot. Chrome side bars, factory smoked glass, I have had the front ones tinted, not too gangster like.
Having had one of the earlier L322 I believe this revised model is how the RR should always have been like, much smoother to drive.

Not sure what you mean by this as I find the seats just as comfortableas my old L322, the only issue is the head rest movement due to the screens

The upper part can be adjusted to mould to your shape, or in other words 16 way adjustment, which is now 12 way on the latest seats.

Thanks Nick, but I will be looking at TDV8's I think. I have a couple to see today. Budgets seem to fall by the wayside every time I look.

What did you think of the TDV8, try a S/C see how they compare. As some will say that the differenc in mpg is gradually being eaten away by the difference in fuel prices. And oh does the S/C shift

Finally got round to advertising my MY06 RR S/C with LPG conversion. It's in the PH classifieds with photos for those who are interested. Have to say I am quite dissapointed to be selling this utterly over engineered over specified motor that always made me feel great when driving and helped me out so much in the recent snow but finances dicate......for now at least. Don't think it will be long before something else with LR brand appears on my drive. A short wheelbase Defender is very appealing wink

+1 My missus was smitten the second we went out for a test drive in a S/C - she uses it more than me now!! She loves the power and got used to the size pretty quickly too (...MATRON!!!) biggrin

Convincing her about the car wouldn't be difficult.. (It took one ride in a P38 to convince her that a RR was the way to go a couple of years ago)

I just can't see her agreeing to me spending a wad of cash!

Still doesn't stop me being tempted though.....
