Buy Now or in the Spring
Discussion
I am looking at an Orange Spyder best part of 100K which being realistic I wouldnt really drive until the nicer weather comes, The question I would like to get thoughts on is the price likely to fluctuate due to the time of year and how will that be Vs the market price for a car thats another 4 - 6 months old come next year.
In other words will it be cheaper to buy now in the winter or wait another 4 - 6 months, thanks

Buy Now. Prices will go bonkers in the Spring - we are finding it IMPOSSIBLE to buy enough cars at the moment.
We broke our used car record in September, then again in October, then again in November.
Dealers are paying incredible money for cars currently.
Even if that means buying Lambo Manchester's Orange Spyder - do it!!!!
But if you can be tempted to go Yellow....?

Would you still reccomend buying 2-4k milage LP-560s now, or waiting for a potential drop in price next March time, as more miles get racked up and another year is effectively added onto the age of their plate? Or will the spring/summer boom negate any time/milage depreciation they'll recieve between now and then?We broke our used car record in September, then again in October, then again in November.

I've just offered a guy £5K more than I bought the same car for in February this year!
Prices will definitely be going up. If you went to Southampton or Tilbury docks you would be amazed at how many Upper Luxury Sector cars are being exported. Fewer cars means higher prices. As Lamborghini is tiny in volume terms, this effect is multiplied. Simples!
I can barely recall a day when it hasn't poured down for the last six weeks, which has brought convertible sales to a snail's pace.
This is true of our Bentley brand too, where we are selling more Coupes and Saloons than ever before, but GTCs and Azures are slow.
To some extent this is what we expect year in, year out. If cost of ownership is the primary concern when purchasing a car, and you want a convertible, then you should look to buy in winter when prices are depressed, and sell in summer when they peak.
This is tried and tested. In fact the chap that bought this particular yellow Spyder from me in February this year made profit when I took it back from him in the Summer.
If I could buy ten Spyders at December money, I'd park them in a shed and wheel them out again in March and make a handsome profit!
Try not to apply too much logic to this purchase, buy a Lambo because you want the experience. Don't take the emotion out of it, that's what it's all about!
Few better blasts than a Gallardo Spyder.....

Any idea where they are all going, and why? I'm assuming for sale overseas but there could be other reasons.Gassing Station | Supercar General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
