FHM - Subs offer with free AC2 (XB and PS3)

Just got this months FHM and the latest subs offer is 12 issues for £29.99 plus Assasins Creed II free (your choice of XB or PS3)

It's only that price if you set up a recurring payment by direct debit or credit card (yes, I know you could easily cancel it, but there's probably something in the small print about claiming the extra cash back if you do), otherwise it is £50.

You've also got to take the chance that you'll actually receive AC2 and not the 'something of equivalent value' as it could simply be a marketing plot to offer AC2 to the first person who subscribes and then Viva Piñata to the rest

This happened to me with some game last year, Think it was fifa 09 or pro evo with the Nuts subscription, I got a stty t shirt instead. E-mailed them and they said they had ran out and would send me another game to try and please me. I got some stty wii game instead. Never even opened the plastic wrapping and traded it in for like £2

I would (and have on Evo, FHM, TG, etc) cancel after the 12 months without issue and would also check the small print

As for the "equivalent value" as ACII currently (so at the time of offer) retails for an average of £39.99 they would get told to stick a t shirt/crap wii game/spud peeler up their arse and told to get me the right game or find a complaint going in to TS



Having said that, I've never had a problem with this kind of thing - always had what I was promised
