I had a test in a V10 from Poole Audi. Much better than the V8 in my opinion. Shame about the fake oval exhausts built into the bumper though, let it down some what. If they can manage real ones on the RS's then surely a 100+k R8 V10 should have real pipes. Enjoy the ride, dont be too scared to push it a little, they are much more capable and safe than you would think.

The oval shaped 'exhaust' is just an immitation surround mounted in the rear bumper, made to look like an Rs style oval pipe. If you look inside, you will see twin pipes (like the V8), and some daylight too. Shame really.

I'm pretty sure that they do that so as not to have a hot exhaust actually touching the bodywork and melting it.

Enjoy Leon.

I took Poole Audi's V10 out last Friday as I was contemplating an upgrade from my V8. The V10 is SO easy to drive and the so effortless that you really can push it easily. The noise at full chat is glorious so make sure you open the windows. The Spyder must sound awesome from the cockpit!!!

Cheers
Gary

Agreed. That would make sense if you want to preserve your paintwork.
