Hi,

like my red wine, but like something with good body, fruity but very, very easy on the tannins

Any suggestions on this?

Price anywhere from £0-£20'ish

Morrissons have this on offer at the moment for £6.99 a bottle!
Me gettin' some today. lick You may find it a bit heavy on the tannins though.
When I get arsed off with the new world wines, I go for that

Any of the New Zealand Pinot Noir are hard to beat!

A wine that I have enjoyed a few bottles of is Chevaliers des les Templiers Margaux which I have bought from oddbins - but annoyingly they seem to not be stocking it at the moment. But I generally find that you can get a lot of good wine from there, IMO far superior to most 'supermarket' wines and not necessarily much more expensive (£8-12 a bottle). I also think that the Anakena Ona Pinot Noir is very drinkable. But, like anything, taste is a very personal thing and depends what you like

I love pinot noir, but you'll be paying somewhat north of £20 for a premier example. Lesser pinot noir smells and tastes of rotting cabbages.

For around £15, I think Fleurie is hard to beat. These are perfumed, medium-bodied wines and (very) drinkable now:

My favourite reds are Chateau Musar and Chateau Neuf du Pape.

Agree on both.

Pape particularly is lovely, but you can do as well in the villages surrounding that don't have quite the same name.

A Gigondas or a Vacqueyras at Chateauneuf money will be excellent.

Have you ever tried Bulgarian? Difficult to get hold of over there, I'd never tried it until I got to Bulgaria, but we can get very palateable reds for two or three pounds a litre, and I've never had a hangover yet.

Musar & as MC said, a fleurie. I actually quite like the one the co-op stocks, it's circa £15 and eminently drinkable. Which does tend to ensure i'm rather skint come month end wink

I adore Rosemount Shiraz (red label) - or Shiraz Cabernet (blue label). 2004 was my favourite but 2006 is on sale now. Still a very quaffable choice imo.

Also, Mouton Cadet is very reasonably priced for what it is: http://www.drinksdirect.co.uk/acatalog/Mouton_Cade...

Try a good Morgon , reasonably light as its a Beaujolais but certainly not a limp wristed version . This is what French wine is all about drinking a Grand Cru at sensible prices !
Its also round on the Tanins and not heavy unllike other suggestions above!!

By the way - £0 wines are generally not very good. I'd spend upwards of £3.50

If you are looking for a decent and cheap 'quaffing wine', this is worth a try:
