now a real one (how lovely is this?).

No idea how much it is, but if I won the lottery, I would buy it -- pics from: FERRARI 166 MM TOURING BARCHETTA

Have saved copies to my harddisk and photobucket account in case the car is sold:

Thats the model that all Ferrari custumer road cars started from. They also sound fantastic, heres a rare video of the 166MM in action http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8c1-58mOyk
Right theres your house and an Enzo in the value of that car....oh and a house in Spain smile
The 166S is a very influential little car (very little in person) not only for Ferrari but also other manufacturers

The Bianchi Anderloni designed, Touring barchetta bodywork, was cited by John Tojeiro as major influence of his design for the AC Ace and by extension the AC/Shelby Cobra’s

Naked pics of the 166 from Gilco smile

Gilco made most of the Chassis for Ferrari, for the first ten years or so of production, from 1946 till around 1958 smile

If you know who to speak to, you can still get copies of the Gilco engineering drawings, when framed they make an interesting form of art for the "man rooms" in your house biggrin

AndrewW, thanks for the additional information.

I bought the model while I was shopping for a r/c helicopter for my godson. No idea about the history, just thought it was the most beautiful car I have ever seen.

Would be amazing to see the real car.
