'98 escort 1.6 finesse idle valve

Hi there, can anyone tell me where to find my idle control valve? i need to remove & clean. Tried posting on an escort forum with no reply. Here is original post:

"Hello all,

I have a problem with my escort (s807 ual). It has been cutting out at junctions and sticking at about 2.5k revvs when moving. When we come to a stop the idle usually sorts itself out.

After browsing the internet I have come to the conclusion i need to remove and clean my idle control valve in petrol/WD40 !

I did indeed consult with the Haynes, however it was talking about carb adjustments which is no help as this is injection engine. So no luck finding where this danm idle control valve is then, so im gonna post up here to see if someone can help.

Also wanting to know if this is a job a mechanic should be doing, as i'm a novice. If so an estimated labour time ?

It would be in the 7th pic down, but you can't see it. It's got a 2 bolt fixing with a diamond shaped flange. There are two (smallish) breather hoses going to and from it at 90 degrees IIRC and a two pin plug. It's on the inlet manifold before the throttle body.
